Imagine Asia Co., Ltd. (Hangul: 주식회사 이매진아시아), formerly known as Wellmade StarM and Wellmade Yedang, is a management agency in South Korea that was established in 1976.
1976 - originally named "Banpo Industries" - an industrial tent manufacturer; previously headquartered at Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
2000 - the company name changed to "Banpo Tech"
2006 - merged with Star M Entertainment and became "Star M Co. Ltd." as a result; among the first artists in its roster were Shin Min-ah, Jang Dong-gun and Hyun Bin
2007 - joined KOSDAQ
2008 - changed name again to "Wellmade Star M"; moved to Gangnam District, Seoul
2013 - acquired Girl's Day's agency Dream Tea Entertainment
2014 - acquired Yedang Company; then changed name to "Wellmade Yedang"
2015 - acquired 80% of YMC Entertainment
2015 - acquired BLUE STAR Entertainment.
2016 - parted ways with Yedang Company and changed their name to Imagine Asia.
Dream Tea Entertainment (드림티 엔터테인먼트, currently listed as KRX: ) was founded by Lee Jong-suk in 2009. Imagine Asia acquired it in December 2013.
YMC Entertainment (와이엠씨 엔터테인먼트) was founded by Cho Yoo-myung, the eldest son of singer Tae Jin-ah (birth name Cho Bang-hoon), in 2010. Imagine Asia acquired it in July 2015.
Happy Face Entertainment is a South Korean entertainment agency established by Ahn Myung-won and Kim Young-deuk, better known as the music production duo E-Tribe, on August 15, 2008.
Blue Star Entertainment (블루 스타 엔터테인먼트) was founded by Byun Dong-jin and Park Chang-jae, former executives of Core Contents Media (now MBK Entertainment). Imagine Asia acquired it in 2015.
