Wasing Wood Ponds


Wasing Wood Ponds is a site of Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). the ponds are in Wasing Wood on the edge of Wasing in Berkshire. The ponds are special for their range of Odonata.

Wasing Wood Ponds covers an area of 13.5 hectares. The site is a group of ponds, wet ditches and marshy areas partly in the Woods and partly on open ground formerly excavated for gravel.

The wood was classed in 1984 as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
