Warface is a free-to-play online first-person shooter developed by Crytek Kiev and co-produced by Crytek Seoul, with Crytek UK developing the Xbox 360 port. The game was developed with Crytek's CryEngine 3. The Xbox 360 port was discontinued on February 1, 2015.

Players can choose among four different classes to play, Sniper, Rifleman, Engineer, or Medic. Each class has their own importance in the game, such as Medics reviving fallen teammates, Engineers resupplying armor, Riflemen carrying ammo boxes to resupply ammo. Sniper is the only class that does not have a special item to help their team, instead they bear powerful sniper rifles, ranging from automatic Garota or Karkom SNR, semi-automatic RBA SR 58 SPR or Karkom SNR Navy Blue, to Bolt sniper rifles such as Miller AP6 or TWM X308. Riflemen bear assault rifles, most of them are fully automatic but a few exceptions, such as F1000. Medics use shotguns, and they too range from fully automatic shotguns like the Viper and semi-automatic shotguns like Fararm S.A.T. Pro to pump shotguns like mooshügel 500 custom. And finally, Engineers use fully automatic sub-machine guns, like the powerful Honey Badger, or the very fast shooting but low damage dealing SMG-9 Ares. Every player also has access to secondary pistols, including the powerful long ranged revolvers and fully automatic short ranged pistols, and a melee weapon, which can be a simple knife, an axe, a ninja sword, or even a shovel. Also, every player is supplied with a hand grenade, which you can not use it more than once untill you die and respawn. As players play and complete matches, they will earn experience points (XP), Warface Dollars ($), and vendor points (VP); how much is earned varies depending on the number of players in the lobby (in order to prevent or reduce potential boosting among players), how quickly the match is finished, and the amount of score and kills. Warface Dollars can be used to purchase certain weapons and items for the player's classes, while Vendor points contribute toward unlocking new items for purchase in one of three categories: Weapons, Outfits, and Equipment. VIP Booster packs are available for sale in the in-game store, allowing the player to earn additional XP, $, and VP after a match. Another in-game currency is available, Kredits, which can be used to directly transform them into Warface Dollars, purchase player skins, or buy VIP bundles. If a player accesses the game through Steam, they are able to also purchase DLC bundles, which include exclusive weapons for all classes, an exclusive melee weapon, and other rewards like PvE resurrection coins, skins and VIP Boosters.
