WTBL-CD is a class A television station in Lenoir, North Carolina. It broadcasts over-the-air on channel 49, and on cable channel 13 in the Lenoir area. It is an independent station with some programming from FamilyNet. WTBL-CD is owned by OTA Broadcasting, LLC, a company controlled by Michael Dell's MSD Capital. WLNN-CD in Boone provides its newscasts and other local programming for the station, and broadcasts full-time on WTBL's second digital subchannel.
On April 13, 2017, the FCC identified WTBL-CD will be compensated $8.2 million to go off-the-air as part of the Spectrum auction.
