Visam Ali ވިސާމް (born 1974) is a Maldivian Member of Parliament elected from Raa Atoll. Maduvvaree legislative district for Majlis of the Maldives. Prior to her political career she was a civil servant and headed the Department of Higher Education and Training, during President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom's administration.
Ali is a certified professional accountant, by CPA Australia. She went to Murdoch University and graduated in Accounting and Public Administration and completed her MBA at the University of Adelaide.
MP Visam Ali has advocated for children and women's rights. She advocated health care for thalassemia patients and submitted the Thalassemia control bill to the Peoples Majlis. She also advocated for the rights of fishermen in her constituency and criticized President Mohamed Nasheed's policy on using police against innocent people. She worked to develop table tennis in the Maldives during her tenure as Secretary General of Table Tennis Association. She declined to receive the controversial Rf20,000 committee allowance for MPs by Peoples Majlis.
