Virginia's 88th House of Delegates district includes parts of Fredericksburg, Stafford and Spotsylvania. It is represented by Republican Mark Cole. In 2017, he is running against Democrat Steve Aycock, the former executive director of the Fredericksburg Area Baptist Network; and Green Party candidate Gerald Anderson, who is an adjunct chemistry professor at Germanna Community College and a part-time project manager for BENMOL Corp., an engineering and environmental services firm in Alexandria.
