Vigur is the second largest island in Ísafjarðardjúp in Westfjords, Iceland. The island is around 2 kilometres (6,600 ft) in length and 400 metres (1,300 ft) in width. The island is most noted for its sheep farming, with only a single farm being located on Vigur. A windmill, built in c. 1840, is also located on the island.
The name is a rare word for spear, since the island is rather long and with a sharp tip.
