Vanessa Jackson RA (born 1953 Pealake, Surrey) is a British artist who was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts in 2015. She studied at Saint Martin's School of Art and the Royal College of Art. In 1985, she went to New York on the Yaddo Fellowship in Fine Art. She also taught at Winchester School of Art.
In 1998-9, Jackson was included in the South Bank Centre show "The Presence of Painting". An abstract painter notably concerned with a painterly surface, colour, and texture, she is also strongly concerned with geometry. She won a prize with her canvass "So Much Depends" in the 1993-4 John Moores Liverpool Exhibition.
Jackson was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts on the 23rd of Sep, 2015.
