University of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation

University of Sustainable, Environmental Studies and Applied Research (formerly known as University of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation and initially called Eastern Regional Public University) is a proposed public tertiary educational institution to be built in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Plans for the setting up of the institution were conceived after independence by Kwame Nkrumah the first President of Ghana.

Three major sites have been made available for the buildings of the university. The sites all located in the Eastern Region are Somanya, Krobo Odumase and land dotted on the Akosombo-Tema Highway.

In April 2013, President John Mahama inaugurated a twelve-member committee to oversee the securing of land and the construction and development of the university. The members were:
