United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia, 2018

The United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia, 2018 are scheduled for November 6, 2018.

In the 1st district, Democratic challengers to incumbent Rob Wittman include former Marine Edwin Santana; author, professional genealogist, historian, and professional speaker Vangie Williams; and Prince William County School Board Chair Ryan Sawyers, the first Democrat to ever hold that seat.

Roger Dean (RD) Huffstetler, a 38 year-old Marine Corps Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, and business entrepreneur, has announced his candidacy for Virginia's 5th Congressional District. Huffstetler has a strong dislike for the House Freedom Caucus.

Encouraged by the fact that 's district voted for Hillary Clinton in the U.S. presidential election, 2016, several Democratic candidates are lining up to run for that seat. Republicans believe, however, that given that Comstock is an excellent fundraiser and fierce campaigner, she will be able to keep the seat.

Virginia State Senator Jennifer Wexton of Leesburg announced her candidacy on April 20, 2017.

Lindsey Davis Stover, a senior advisor to Barack Obama's Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric K. Shinseki, announced her candidacy on April 18, 2017.

Army veteran Daniel Helmer of Fairfax County has also announced his candidacy, as has Kimberly Adams, a 17-year Fairfax County Public School teacher and former president of the Fairfax County Education Association.

Dorothy McAuliffe, wife of Terry McAuliffe, is a possible challenger in the 10th District as well. Given that McAuliffe pulled Tom Mulrine from the 2015 race for Virginia's 13th Senate district in order to put Jill McCabe in his place, Republicans believe McAuliffe may do the same to Wexton in order to put his wife in the race.
