The United Kingdom held a national preselection to choose the song that would go to the Eurovision Song Contest 1960. The semi-finals were held on 2 February and 4 February 1960 and the final was held on 6 February 1960. All were presented by David Jacobs.
"Looking High, High, High", a pop ballad, won the national final and went on to come 2nd in the Contest. This was the second time the UK came in 2nd place, it would take another few years until they finally won in 1967.
