Tyrell Zimmerman (Born February 23, 1985) is a former professional American football defensive lineman. Zimmerman attended and played football for Northwestern State University before transferring to Pace University. Tyrell was a 2010 NFL Draft prospect and was selected to play in the 2010 Valero Cactus Bowl, which is the annual Division II All-Star Game which took place on Jan. 8, 2010 in Kingsville, Texas. Later on in 2010 he became a member of the Billings Outlaws of the Indoor Football League. In 2011, he played for the Trenton Steel of the Southern Indoor Football League. At the conclusion of the Steel's season Zimmerman was signed by the Tulsa Talons of the Arena Football League. Tyrell is the President and CEO of ZIMMNATION FOUNDATION INC. The mission of the organization is Tyrell's dream, which is described through the acronym D.R.3E.A.M., Developing Resources to Empower youth through Education, Enrichment, Athletics, and Mentorship. Tyrell Zimmerman is the author of the children's book titled, "Carter: My Dream, My Reality". Zimmerman's younger brother, Ta'Quan, is a professional basketball player.
