The following is the discography of the band Genesis. Genesis were a British progressive rock band whose most significant members included Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford, Steve Hackett and Tony Banks. Other former members include Anthony Phillips, John Mayhew and Ray Wilson (with touring members Chester Thompson and Daryl Stuermer) Genesis's first album, From Genesis to Revelation, was released in March 1969 and reached its international peak of #170 on the United States' Billboard 200 albums chart. Over the next five years, Genesis released albums in the second half of every year, including two in 1973, as one was a live album. Over this period, the group's fame rose, as did their charting positions. Over time, the group broke up, changed lineups and took both short and extended hiatuses.
