Tricia Griffith (born 1965) is a business executive currently serving as the CEO and president of Progressive. She was appointed to the roles in May 2016, and became CEO on July 1, 2016. The appointment received a degree of press. She replaced Glenn Renwick.
In 2016 Fortune named her No. 18 on its annual most powerful women in business list. She was the highest ranking new addition to the list that year.
She attended Illinois State University for her undergraduate degree, and then took part in the advanced management program at University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business.
Griffith became claims representative at Progressive in 1988, and after a number of managerial positions, became the Chief Human Resources Officer in 2002.
