Tony LeMans was a singer and songwriter associated with Prince and signed to Prince's Paisley Park Records.

Tony LeMans grew up in Hollywood and ran around with the Gordy kids and other musical stars. Lenny Kravitz and Tony started a band called Romeo Blue but had a falling out and went separate ways.

His self-titled debut album was released in 1989 on that label, and it peaked at #58 on the Billboard R&B Album chart. Three singles were released ("Higher Than High," "Cookie Crumbles," and "Forever More") without much chart success. Although Prince often worked behind the scenes on albums for his label, he officially played no role in this one. David Gamson (Scritti Polliti) was the major producer. In 1988, Lemans worked with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis producing several songs for Vanity's third solo album. The completed project was never officially released. Then Ingrid Chavez came around that yearand inspired the Lovesexy album.

LeMans, an avid motorcyclist, (Harley) perished driving thru the Holland Tunnel on June 24, 1992, in Hollywood. His last moments were with Rick James. He was to be married the next day to Deborah Matthews, Denise Matthews sister (Vanity) He had just begun the recording sessions for his second album, which was to feature a Prince composition called "Fuchsia Light." wrote a song for Donny Osmond's comeback album. George Clinton/Tony/Prince. Rest in Peace PRN and Tony MansFortier. Tony chose the name Lemans because his father loved the vehicle. So Tony mixed his father's love of the car and the name together.
