Tom Sewell junior

Thomas Sewell (born 15 March 1830 at Mitcham, Surrey; died 13 June 1871 at St John's, Sevenoaks, Kent) was an English professional cricketer who played first-class cricket from 1851 to 1868. His father was Tom Sewell senior.

A right-handed batsman and right arm fast roundarm bowler, he made 158 known appearances in first-class matches, of which 20 were for Kent between 1856 and 1866 and 109 were for Surrey between 1859 and 1868. He represented the Players in the Gentlemen v Players series on one occasion and, from 1860 to 1864, was a member of the United All-England Eleven (UEE). He was also a member of the team led by HH Stephenson that toured Australia in 1861–2, the first side from England to visit the country.
