Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (English: Toilet - A Love Story) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language film directed by Shree Narayan Singh. Co-produced by Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey, the film will star Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, with Anupam Kher and Sana Khan in supporting roles. The film is written by Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal, the writers of the 2013 Hindi film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The film has some similarity with an original event in which a 19-year old Priyanka Bharti ran away from her husband's home in 2012, when there was no toilet.

The film is a satirical comedy film in support of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a governmental campaign to improve the sanitation conditions in India, with emphasis on the eradication of open defecation in public areas, especially in the rural areas of India.

The soundtrack was composed by the composers Vickey Prasad, Manas-Shikhar and Sachet-Parampara. Lyrics have been penned by Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal. The first track of the album titled "Hans Mat Pagli", voiced by Sonu Nigam was released online on June 28, 2017. The whole soundtrack of the film was unveiled on 13 July 2017 which consists of only 4 songs.

A filmmaker named Praveen Vyas has sent a legal notice to the makers, claiming that ‘Toilet- Ek Prem Katha’ has plagiarised scenes and dialogues from his documentary ‘Manini', also based on the same subject.

The movie is slated to release on 11 August 2017, before India's independence day.
