Toby Longworth

Toby Longworth is a British actor who has appeared on film, radio, television and recently a PC horror game. He is originally from Somerset, where he attended King Edward's School, Bath. He has worked most often as a voice actor, however, notably in several high-profile science-fiction projects.

Between 1984 and 1989 Longworth was part of a double-act, 'The Rubber Bishops' with Bill Bailey, a former school friend from Bath. Toby left in 1989 to join the RSC. He was later a regular performer on the radio comedy Week Ending.

Longworth provided the voices of Lott Dod and Gragra in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. He can also be heard in several instalments of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Tertiary to Quintessential Phases, as Wowbagger and Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz. He has also appeared in many audio dramas by Big Finish Productions including their Doctor Who spin-off range and taking the lead role as Judge Dredd in their line of audio plays based upon the 2000 AD series, as well as the supporting role of Wulf Sternhammer in the spin-off series based on Strontium Dog comics.

One of Longworth's most notable performances for Big Finish was in Judge Dredd: Solo, in which he provided the voices for all 34 roles, occasionally with the aid of vocal effects and multi-track recording but often by simply using his own abilities to impersonate multiple characters.
