Timothy Combe born 17 October 1936 is a television director and actor's agent, best known for directing Doctor Who and Z-Cars.
After starting with the BBC as an Assistant Floor Manager (in which role he worked on seminal Doctor Who serial, The Evil of the Daleks in 1967), he moved into directing in 1968, beginning with Z-Cars, the popular and long-running police series. Eventually, he ended up being the fourth most prolific director of the series. He also directed two serials in the equally long-running Doctor Who but, due to having gone over-budget on the serial The Mind of Evil, was not invited back after his second.
In 1976, he gave up directing in order to become an actor's agent.
He attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
