Tim Soudan is the current coach of the Rochester Rattlers and a former National Lacross League/Major League Lacross NLL/MLL player for the Boston Blazers, Rochester Knighthawks, and Rochester Rattlers.
In college, he was a two-time All-American at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 1994 and 1998, he played for Team USA and won the World Lacrosse Championship. He also played for Team USA in the 2002 Heritage Cup against Team Canada.
Soudan played with the Rochester Knighthawks for 11 years. He ranks second in team history in games played (125), third in goals (156), fifth in assists (161) and fourth in points (317). In 1996, he was honored as the team’s Seventh Man for his hard work and dedication. He was a member of the 1997 MILL Championship team and a key component in the team’s string of 11 playoff appearances in 11 seasons.
Tim Soudan was a fixture on the Rattlers since the inaugural 2001 Major League Lacrosse season. He ends his career with 32 goals, three two-point goals, and nine assists for 47 points in 31 games. On the all-time team lists, he ranks seventh in games played, goals and points. He is also tied for first for the most two-point goals in Rattlers’ history.
In August 2008, Soudan was hired back by the Knighthawks as the Assistant General Manager.
In June 2011, Soudan was hired as the Head Coach of the Rochester Rattlers of the Major Lacrosse League.
Following his retirement from professional lacrosse, Tim became a physical education teacher and assistant lacrosse coach at Fairport High School. He also hosts a boys lacrosse camp.
