Edward Thurston Towle (January 1, 1905 – October 19, 1960) was a professional football player who spent 1 season in the National Football League with the Boston Bulldogs in 1929. Prior to playing professional football, Towle played college football at Brown University. He was later inducted into the Brown Athletics Hall of Fame. He was a member of the 1926 "Iron Men" football team, which went 9–1 and played all but two minutes against Yale, Dartmouth, and Harvard.
