On 20 February 2017, it was announced that the show had been recommissioned for a second and third series.
This Time Next Year is slated to have versions in Australia on Nine Network, Denmark on TV2, The Netherlands and Germany on RTL. In Spain, the show is slated to be adapted by Atresmedia.
