Third Eye is the third LP and major-label debut album by Redd Kross. It was released by Atlantic Records on September 14, 1990.
Promotional singles were issued and videos were made for "Annie's Gone" and "1976". Jeff and Steve McDonald starred in The Spirit of '76 (1990 film) which also featured the song "1976".
Ann Magnuson appeared in the "Annie's Gone" video.
"Annie's Gone" reached #16 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks charts.
Susan Cowsill (of the 60's pop group, The Cowsills) sings background vocals on "Bubblegum Factory" and "Love Is Not Love".
Paul Stanley (Kiss) does not sing the verses to "1976", contrary to popular belief. Guitarist Robert Hecker sings those bits while doing an excellent Paul Stanley impersonation
All songs written by Jeff McDonald, except where noted.
