The Showdown is the third collaboration album between Russell Allen (known as the vocalist of Symphony X) and Jørn Lande, (mostly known as the original vocalist of Masterplan), once again with Swedish guitarist Magnus Karlsson producing, arranging and songwriting. It is a follow-up to The Revenge and was released on November 5, 2010, by Frontiers Records.
