The Make is an indie pop rock band originating from Chico, CA. The trio consists of Jeff Schneeweis, Trevor Sellers (both formerly of Number One Gun), and Sarah Ann (from See You Soon). In May 2011, The Make formed and signed with Suspended Sunrise Recordings, a record label created by Aaron Rodgers, quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, and Ryan Zachary.

Their debut single, “Get It”, was released on June 30, 2011, and was originally offered for free download via The Make’s official website until the promoted release of their EP. Simultaneously with the release of the single, the video for “Get It” premiered on The Make’s YouTube channel. Directed by Murphy Karges of Sugar Ray and shot in a Northern California bowling alley, the video features dancing cops, showgirls, Jimmy Richards of Brighten on drums, and a brief cameo performance by Aaron Rodgers.

On July 19, 2011, The Make officially released their debut EP on the Suspended Sunrise Recordings label, entitled “This Box”. To celebrate the release, The Make utilized Ustream to broadcast their first live concert as a complete band.

The Make’s official website is a Tumblr-hosted blog. The Make uses social media religiously and personally in an effort to connect with listeners and share the process of their journey, as well as to promote and market their music. Their presence in the online communities was established and began to flourish prior to the release of their debut single.
