Errol Thompson, better known as The Kemist, is a Jamaican-American Deejay, Producer, recording artist and songwriter. His music is a mix of wide range of genres which incorporates elements from Reggae, Dancehall, Trap, Hip Hop, Dubstep, Hardstyle and Moombahton music.
The Kemist began his music career as a member of the production duo Black Lion. In February 2013 Black Lion produced Nyanda's 1st promotional single "Trouble", which is a Dancehall remix of Taylor Swift's multi-platinum single "I Knew You Were Trouble" which fuses Reggae, Dancehall and Pop music. Co-written by The Kemist, "Trouble" entered UK Music Week's Top 30 Urban Club Charts in Week 7 (2013) and remained in the charts for 7 Weeks, peaking at #15.
Nyanda's 1st official single, "Slippery When Wet", was produced by Black Lion and co-written by The Kemist. "Slippery When Wet" entered UK Music Week's Top 30 Urban Club Charts in Week 27 (2013) and remained in the Top 30 for 5 weeks, peaking at #13. "Slippery When Wet" Won the Award for Best Reggae Song at the 2014 Lipstick Radio's Indie Music Awards.
