Kimble is working as a custodian for the Saturday Morning Camp, a weekend camp run by Tony and Carole Burnell. Things become complicated when two police officers are found beaten to death near the camp. The police recruit Tony, a former policeman, to interrogate a local juvenile delinquent who is the main suspect in the killings. Tony, however, reluctantly begins to suspect Kimble, after a box containing the badges of the murdered policemen shows up in Kimble's apartment. Unknown to everyone, the real killer is Tony, who has been murdering police officers during black outs, and has no memory of the killings afterwards. Subconciously, Tony blames the police for the death of his father, a policeman who was sent to prison on a trumped-up murder charge and then killed by dirty cops during a prison riot.
