The Final Tic is the second album by Crucial Conflict, after Crucial Times was released in 1993. It was released on July 9, 1996 through Pallas and Universal Records and was entirely produced by member Wildstyle. The album was a success due in large part to the group's breakthrough single "Hay", which became a top-20 single, peaking at 20 on the Billboard 200. The album itself also found success on the charts, peaking at 12 on the Billboard 200 and 5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
"Hay" was certified gold by the RIAA on July 19, 1996, while The Final Tic was certified gold on September 4, 1996.
