The Essential Jimi Hendrix Volume Two, released a year after Volume 1 in 1979, is a continuation of the greatest hits by Jimi Hendrix. When released on CD, both volumes were released together as a double-CD package.
The LP also contained a 7" 33 1⁄3 RPM one-sided EP of The Jimi Hendrix Experience performing the song "Gloria".
All songs composed by Jimi Hendrix except where noted.
Also included with the album was a 7" 33 1/3 RPM one-sided single of "Gloria" (Recorded at TTG Studios, Hollywood, CA, October 29, 1968).
