"The Essential CDB" is the first greatest hits album by Australian R&B and pop band CDB. The album includes tracks from the band's two studio albums, Glide with Me and Lifted as well as a selection of non-album B-sides, their collaboration with Tommy Emmanuel, a solo single from Gary Pinto and a cover of "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)", recorded in 2008. The album was released on 29 October 2010.

CDB are a four piece R&B/pop group from Melbourne who rose to fame in the 1990s. The band had five top 40 singles in Australia and two number 1 singles in New Zealand. The band won and ARIA Award in 1996. The band disbanded in 1999, before reforming in 2006 to play some charity shows. In 2008, the group released a cover of Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" which was to be included on the band's third studio album The Funk Sessions, but the album was cancelled.
