The Book of Kells is an audio drama based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. This audio drama was produced by Big Finish Productions.
At the Abbey of Kells in Ireland in the year 1006, the Doctor finds the famous Book of Kells in the hands of mysterious monks.
The Meddling Monk (originally played by Peter Butterworth) encountered the First Doctor in the 1960s TV stories The Time Meddler and The Daleks' Master Plan. This is his first appearance in a Big Finish audio drama.
The Book of Kells was broadcast on digital radio station BBC Radio 4 Extra on 10 Jan 2013 as a single hour-long episode.
