Part One: Dean Clark, an 11-year-old boy, is abducted at a shopping centre. Connections are made to two notorious abductors, Alistair Haig and Linda Johnson, but Haig is dead and Johnson is in prison. Manson visits Johnson with Turner, but she isn't interested. She calls Manson and requests to see him alone, and tells him about her boyfriend, Mike Wilson. She explains they split, and he would prove he loved her. Wilson's flat is raided, and he appears to be obsessed with the case. He is arrested and confesses to murdering Dean, but it is ruled out when Dean calls his mother.
Part One- Innocent Blood: Smithy and Emma attend an out of control party on the Jasmine Allen Estate, where a teenager, Tito Morientes, has been stabbed. Smithy's old informant, Carly Samuels, now a stay at home mother, points out Eric Benton, an illegal landlord to whom Morientes owed for rent. Carly's boyfriend, Marlon Reed, is the owner of £500 stolen from Morientes at the party, for admission. Marlon is found attacking Benton, and after a lengthy chase, Benton is arrested by Gold. He denies stabbing Morientes but confesses to mugging him. Carly reluctantly tells Smithy that Marlon was the attacker, and a dog finds a knife and bloodstained hoodie. Marlon is charged with GBH, but bailed. A suspected revenge attack sees Carly gunned down standing next to Marlon on the estate. Nate and Sally meanwhile, investigate a child carer, who relieves himself setting fires.
Part Two- Wall of Silence: Carly Samuels is rushed to hospital after the shooting, where she dies of her injuries as her devastated mother Leanne arrives. The drive-by car is found alight, along with shell casings. Tito Morientes is suspect number one, but is given an alibi by girlfriend Alisha Daniels, who was also Carly's best friend. Uniform set up a mobile unit on the Jasmine Allen Estate. Smith is assigned as Leanne's FLO, but she throws him out after a mechanic feeds Sun Hill duff information about Carly being pregnant. Dwayne Fox, the father of Carly's daughter Brooke, tells CID Marlon Reed is dealing and producing crack cocaine, and Alisha says Carly was moving to Sheffield with Brooke. Marlon is found with a gun to Tito's head, and is charged with dealing & attempted murder. Tito confesses at gunpoint, but retracts it in interview. Problems mount as the investigation breaks down, and a wall of silence falls on the Jasmine Allen.
