TaxSlayer.com is a company providing online tax preparation software for Americans to electronically file their federal and state income tax returns. TaxSlayer.com was developed by Rhodes Computer Services in 1998 and is one of many software companies that participates in the IRS Free File Alliance. The company is also known for its sports sponsorships; sponsorships include a NASCAR race car on the JR Motorsports team and the TaxSlayer Bowl, a college football bowl game in Jacksonville, Florida. The company is based in Evans, Georgia.

In the early 1960s, Aubrey Rhodes, Sr. founded Rhodes-Murphy & Co., a tax-preparation company that remains in operation in Georgia and South Carolina. In 1989, the company formed a subsidiary, Rhodes Computer Services, to start developing tax preparation software. Four years later, Rhodes Computer began selling taxation software known as "Taxslayer Pro" to tax preparers and accountants throughout the United States, and in 1998, the firm began developing TaxSlayer.com to market its software to individuals. The operating model was based on executives' belief that their firm's standing in the field of tax preparation would translate to similar standing in Internet-based tax preparation.

In 2009 and 2010, TaxSlayer.com was the primary sponsor of TRG Motorsports' NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car driven by Bobby Labonte.

In 2010, TaxSlayer.com signed a sponsorship deal with JR Motorsports for nine races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.Dale Earnhardt, Jr. drove the TaxSlayer.com car to a 3rd-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 19, 2011.
