Tarentola maioensis (English name: Maio wall gecko) is a species of geckos in the family Phyllodactylidae. The species is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands, they are founded in the island of Maio The species was named in by Hans Hermann Schleich in 1984.

The subspecies were elevated from Tarentola rudis maioensis by Vasconcelos, Perera, Geniez, Harris & Carranza en 2012.
