Tanzania Under-19 cricket team

The Tanzania national under-19 cricket team represents the United Republic of Tanzania in international under-19 cricket. The team's first recorded matches came at the 2003 Africa/EAP Under-19 Championship, a combined tournament for the under-19 teams of African and East Asia-Pacific (EAP) associate members. Tanzania has participated in every edition of the ICC Africa Under-19 Championships since 2007, and has played in every Division One tournament since the championships were split into two divisions in 2009. The team's best finish came at the 2015 tournament, played in Dar es Salaam, where it placed fourth.

Organised under-19 international cricket dates only from the 1970s – the first under-19 Test and One Day International (ODI) were played in 1974 and 1976, respectively, while the first Under-19 World Cup was held in 1988. The Tanzanian under-19 side's first recorded matches came at the 2003 Africa/EAP Under-19 Championship. The Tanzania Cricket Association had only gained associate membership of the ICC in 2001, having previously formed part of the East and Central Africa Cricket Conference, along with Malawi and Zambia (Kenya and Uganda left the association in 1981 and 1998, respectively). Tanzanian players had competed for an East and Central Africa side at the 2001 Africa Under-19 Championship, which placed second behind Namibia.
