Talitha Bateman (born September 4, 2001) is an American child actress, best known for playing the leading role Annabelle 2, Teacup in The 5th Wave, and the leading role, Heidi, in So B. It. She also played Kayla in the film The Hive and Scarlett Kincaid in the series Hart of Dixie, and did a film with Nicolas Cage called Vengeance: A Love Story, and a pilot called "Furst born".
Bateman was born c. 2001 in Turlock, California, where she was raised, but has since moved to southern California. She is the eighth of nine children, and the sister of actor Gabriel Bateman.
In 2014 Bateman played a significant role of Kayla in the science fiction horror film The Hive along with Gabriel Basso, Kathryn Prescott, and Jacob Zachar. The film is directed by David Yarovesky and had a premiered at Fantastic Fest on September 19, 2014.
In 2015 Bateman played the recurring role of Scarlett Kincaid in the 4th season of The CW's comedy-drama series Hart of Dixie.
Bateman also played one of the lead roles, Teacup, in the science fiction film The 5th Wave, along with Chloë Grace Moretz and Nick Robinson. The film, directed by J Blakeson, was released on January 22, 2016 by Columbia Pictures.
Bateman played the role of Nicole in the comedy Nine Lives, along with Kevin Spacey, Robbie Amell, Jennifer Garner, and Christopher Walken. The film was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, and was released on August 5, 2016 by EuropaCorp.
