Talisay, officially the Municipality of Talisay (Filipino: Bayan ng Talisay), is a municipality in the province of Batangas in the Calabarzon (Region IV-A) of the Philippines. The population was 45,301 at the 2015 census. In the 2016 electoral roll, it had 25,481 registered voters.
Talisay is located at 14°06′N 121°01′E / 14.1°N 121.02°E, in the north-central area of Batangas which is located south-west of the island of Luzon, approximately 84 kilometres (52 mi) south from Metro Manila. It is bordered in the north by Tagaytay City, west by Laurel, east by Tanauan City, and south by a vast volcanic lake called Taal Lake.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, the municipality has a land area of 28.20 square kilometres (10.89 sq mi) constituting 0.90% of the 3,119.75-square-kilometre- (1,204.54 sq mi) total area of Batangas.
Talisay is politically subdivided into 21 barangays. In 1953, the sitio of Buco in the barrio of Balas was converted into a barrio.
In the 2015 census, Talisay had a population of 45,301. The population density was 1,600 inhabitants per square kilometre (4,100/sq mi).
