Tagenarine Brandon Chanderpaul (Hindi: तेज़नराइन ब्रैंडन चंद्रपॉल; born 31 May 1996) is a cricketer who plays for Guyana in first-class cricket.
He is a left-hand opening batsman. He made his first-class debut on 9 February 2013. He is the elder son of West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
He was selected for Under-19s World Cup in 2014 in United Arab Emirates at age of 16. Chanderpaul scored an unbeaten 84 paved the way for West Indies Under-19 cricket team' 167-run thrashing of Zimbabwe Under-19 cricket team in Abu Dhabi.
Chanderpaul struck six fours during his knock and forged 50-plus partnerships with Shimron Hetmyer and Jonathan Drakes to propel the team to a formidable 275 for 6 from their 50 overs.
He also scored a hundred at the 2014 Under 19 Youth World Cup. Chanderpaul is said to be a patient batsman that can increase the tempo of the innings if necessary. He was a prolific run scorer for the Guyana under-19 cricket team which earned in a spot in the West Indies Under-19 cricket team to go to UAE for the 2014 Under-19s World Cup.
He plays for Guyana in first-class cricket and made his first-class debut in February 2013 at aged 16 or Guyana against Leeward Islands in the regional four-day competition at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound.
