Symone Sanders (born December 10, 1989) is an American who served as national press secretary for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, during the Bernie Sanders Presidential campaign, 2016. She left the campaign in late June 2016 abruptly but said she was not let go and that leaving the campaign was her decision. She was 26 years old at the time. She is currently a Democratic strategist and political commentator on CNN.

Sanders was born on December 10, 1989. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. Her father, Daniel Sanders, is retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Her mother, Terri Sanders, is the former executive director for the Great Plains Black History Museum. She attended Creighton University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2013.

Sanders was recognized as one of 16 Young Americans Shaping the 2016 Election by Rolling Stone magazine.

When Sanders spoke on CNN on November 23, 2016, about the future of the DNC and the Democratic Party, she dismissed the idea of Howard Dean returning as DNC chairman, saying, "Howard Dean is also on record maligning young people and millennials. Telling those Bernie folks they just need to get in line and maligning Bernie Sanders. And that is not what we need. In my opinion, we don't need white people leading the Democratic party right now. The Democratic Party is diverse, and it should be reflected as so in our leadership and throughout the staff at the highest levels from the vice chairs to the secretaries all the way down to the people working in the offices at the DNC." She concluded by saying she was interested to hear proposals from each of the candidates on how to take the party into the future, "I think we need a robust discussion about this and I think we need to hear more from all the candidates ... So I want to hear more from everybody. I want to hear from the millennials and the brown folks."
