Sylvia Acevedo is an American engineer, businesswoman, and executive. She is the current CEO of the Girl Scouts of the USA, elected to the position in May 2017 after having served as interim CEO since June 2016. She had previously served on the Board of Directors for the organization.
A systems engineer by education, she has previously worked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where she was involved during Voyager 2's flyby of Jupiter in 1989. She has also worked as an executive at Apple, Dell, and Autodesk.
