Sundara Karma are an English indie pop/indie rock band from Reading, Berkshire in England. They formed as Sundara Karma in 2015. The band members are singer/guitarist Oscar "Lulu" Pollock, lead guitarist Ally Baty, bassist Dom Cordell and drummer Haydn Evans. The Guardian newspaper compared the band to the likes of Arcade Fire and U2.
Band members Oscar and Haydn have known each other since childhood and formed a few bands together before starting secondary school. However, nothing materialized as they moved to different schools. Oscar met Dom and Ally at his new school. The pair had been in bands together at their old school so the three decided to form a new band together. Haydn rejoined the band on drums.
Their debut album was released on 6 January 2017. It was entitled Youth Is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect and peaked at 24 on the UK Albums Chart. The band has performed as a support act for Two Door Cinema Club.
