Sumisip, officially the Municipality of Sumisip (Chavacano: Municipalidad de Sumisip; Cebuano: Lungsod sa Sumisip; Filipino: Bayan ng Sumisip), is a municipality in the province of Basilan in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) of the Philippines. The population was 41,730 at the 2015 census. In the 2016 electoral roll, it had 20,849 registered voters.
12 barangays that were not on Basilan Island seceded to form the municipality of Tabuan-Lasa through Muslim Mindanao Autonomy Act No. 187, which was subsequently ratified in a plebiscite held on March 29, 2008.
Sumisip is politically subdivided into 29 barangays.
In the 2015 census, Sumisip had a population of 41,730.
In the 2016 electoral roll, it had 20,849 registered voters.
