The Suffolk Wildlife Trust is a wildlife trust covering the English county of Suffolk. The trust is a charitable organisation whuch manages more than 50 nature reserves in the county. Their head office is at Brooke House in Ashbocking. As of March 2014, the Chief Executive is Julian Roughton.
The trust, which was founded in 1961, is a membership organisation and are supported by more than 26,000 members with over 1,000 volunteers playing an active role in their activities. Environmental education is a major part of their work and the trust works with children in both school based activities and family events held at their reserves. Conservation advisors work with farmers and local communities to encourage the development of a range of wildlife habitats across the county. The trust was formerly known as the "Suffolk Trust for Nature Conservation."
As of March 2014, Suffolk Wildlife Trust manages 52 reserves covering habitats ranging from open fen and marshland, traditional grazing meadows and marshland to ancient broadleaf woodland. Some of the reserves are managed jointly with other organisations such as the RSPB or Natural England.
