Although it was supposed to be opened on December 19, 2016, as part of Stage III of M4 line, Metrorex decide it to postpone it until the first half of 2017 due to safety issues. The station is located near the north-western exist of Bucharest towards Mogoșoaia and includes a new metro depot and a park & ride. Its main purpose is to encourage the people working in Bucharest to park their cars at the entrance of the city and continue their ride with the public transport.
