Steven John Miles (born 15 November 1977) is an Australian politician. He has been the Australian Labor Party member for Mount Coot-tha in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2015.
Miles has a PhD from the University of Queensland, runs a local small business and has three young children.
Miles was the unsuccessful Labor candidate for Ryan at the 2010 Australian federal election. He defeated Fiona McNamara for preselection in Mt Coot-tha in 2014.
He was sworn in as Minister for Environment and Heritage Protection and Minister for National Parks and the Great Barrier Reef in the Palaszczuk Ministry on 16 February 2015.
Following the 2017 Queensland Electoral Redistribution, Miles confirmed he will be standing for the North Brisbane electorate of Murrumba.
