Stephen Hough Wright (born April 8, 1959) is a former American football offensive tackle and offensive guard. A 1977 graduate of Wayzata (MN) High School, he played college football at Northern Iowa and then played ten professional seasons for four teams from 1981–1992. He also appeared on Survivor: Redemption Island where he placed 10th and became the 3rd jury member.
Wright attended Wayzata High School before moving on to University of Northern Iowa, where he played tight end and offensive tackle. In 1997, he was inducted into the Northern Iowa Athletics Hall of Fame.
Wright was not selected in the 1981 NFL Draft and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared in 16 games as a backup.
In the 1982 season, although he was a backup, he was playing right guard in the offensive line that blocked on Dorsett's record 99-yard touchdown run against the Minnesota Vikings. Also while with the Cowboys, Wright additionally blocked for another future Survivor contestant, Gary Hogeboom (Survivor: Guatemala), who was the team's second-string quarterback.
