Stephen Molumphy (born 11 January 1984) is an Irish hurler who played as a midfielder for the Waterford senior team until he retired in 2014.
Molumphy joined the team in 2006 and became a regular member of the starting fifteen the following year. He has won two Munster winners' medals, one National League winners' medal and one All-Star award. He ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion.
At club level Molumphy is a one-time county club championship medalist with Ballyduff Upper.
Molumphy's early hurling career was nurtured at St. Colman's College in Fermoy. Here he won a Dean Ryan Cup medal before later collecting back-to-back Dr. Harty Cup winners' medals in 2001 and 2002. These provincial wins were subsequently converted into two All-Ireland winners' medals.
While studying in the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) Molumphy lined out with the university's hurling team in the Fitzgibbon Cup. He lined out in the final in 2007, however, NUIG were defeated by 2-15 to 0-13 by the Limerick Institute of Technology.
Molumphy plays his club hurling with the Ballyduff Upper club in Waterford and has enjoyed much success.
In 2005 he won a county intermediate championship medal following a defeat of Passage after a replay.
