Spring Gardens is an important thoroughfare in Manchester city centre. This 'L-shaped street was formerly the centre of the north-west banking industry, it hosts five Grade II listed buildings and is part of the Upper King Street conservation area.
King Street runs from Market Street to the north to the eastern end of King Street, then turns left (south east) crossing Mosley Street, continuing as Charlotte Street.
Many notable buildings survive and are preserved, Spring Gardens being in the Upper King Street in a conservation area. In there are 5 buildings listed Grade II.
