Sporting Clube da Boa Vista is a sports club whose football (soccer) team plays in the Boa Vista Island League in Cape Verde. The team is based in Sal Rei and serves the island of Boa Vista. The team won their first and only island title in 2010.
Apart from football (soccer) there are also in the club an athletics department.
The club was founded in 1956, the same time when Sporting Clube de Carvoeiras (now Porto Novo) was founded and is the second oldest sports club on the island. The logo (today's logo), the uniform and name is identical to the Sporting Clube de Portugal.
After winning their only regional title in 2010, the club headed to the 2010 National Championships and played its matches in Group B. Sporting finished 4th in that group and finished with 5 points with a win and two draws, the club scored eight goals, one of two in that group and three that season, Scorpion Vermelho also scored eight along with a club placed in Group A Botafogo of São Filipe.
In the 2015-16 season, the club fshared the same totals with África Show, as the club won a match on April 24 defeating Desportivo Estância Baixo 2-0 in the 13th round while África Show won 1-3 over Onze Estrelas of another match on the same day, the club was placed fifth.
Sporting Boa Vista plays at Estádio Municipal Arsénio Ramos, a multi-use stadium in Sal Rei, Cape Verde. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 500. The stadium is home to the island's best football clubs including Académica Operária and Sport Sal Rei Club. It is also the home of Sanjoanense. The club also practices at the stadium
