SportMaster Sport Surfaces

SportMaster Sport Surfaces is a tennis hardcourt surface made from multiple layers of acrylic, silica sand, and other constituents. The system is applied on an asphalt or concrete substrate, and can be used indoor or outdoors in any climate. SportMaster Sport Surfaces are manufactured by ThorWorks Industries, Inc. for worldwide distribution through the SealMaster Franchise System.

After the 2010 Tennessee floods, SportMaster Sport Surfaces were featured on The Tennis Channel as a volunteer supporter of the Community Surface TV show. This was a Tennis Channel original series pilot episode that dealt with repairing some of Nashville's oldest public tennis courts after the devastating floods worsened the already weathered courts. The USTA also took part in the project with financial assistance and with engineering specifications for converting full-size courts into 10 and Under Tennis courts, for kids.

SportMaster tennis court surfaces are classified by the International Tennis Federation pace classification programme, and have obtained all five paces: Slow, Medium-slow, Medium, Medium-fast, and Fast.

SportMaster is the official surface of the USPTA and the playing surface of the Irving Tennis Classic, as of 2012. The DTC is an ATP Challenger Tour tournament located in Las Colinas, TX. Other tournaments where SportMaster is the official playing surface include:

Other sport surface variations in the SportMaster lines include basketball, roller hockey, running track, and multipurpose systems.
